What's the general policy if u cash u r travelers checks and all the cash was stolen from u? Is their any protection after cashing or not? Mind u, my friend who had this problem is in Nigeria having this problem.|||Feel sorry for them. Cash is just about untraceable. Tell them to only cash small quantities in the future or use charge cards.|||You can't do anything, once they are cashed you are no longer protected. If cash was stolen, your friend needs to go to the police and file a police report, but pickpockets are almost never caught
This isn't the same friend who tried to tell you he needed to show $1000 cash to leave Nigeria is it? Sorry to say but you are being scammed.|||Sounds like you're being scammed. Is the person in Nigeria really your friend, or is it just someone you know from on line? And if it is a real friend -- are you sure they're actually in Nigeria? Or could this be a scammer who's e-mailing you PRETENDING to be your friend? Can you check with this friend some other way, via some other e-mail address, and ask them if they're really traveling in Nigeria? Or ask them some questions that only your friend would know but a scammer wouldn't?
Don't send them ANY MONEY until you are absolutely positively sure it's really money you want to lose forever.|||nothing. cash is untraceable for the most part.|||Scr3wed, sorry! It's cash
