What percentage of American households have cash assets over a million?

What is an estimate of "cash" net worth of average Americans counting only retirement cash savings, bank savings, etc.

Another words net worth minus the house, cars, etc.

And what percentage have million dollars or more?|||In 2011 most recent listing shows that there are 38 million millionaires.

A 2010 listing gives 8.4% of the U.S. population are millionaires.

Last census taken shows the U.S. population at 310 million people.|||Not a good answer:

There is a calculator out there that you can compare your net worth against people your same age and your same income

CNN Money website: http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/networth_鈥?/a>

For example:

You are 20 years old and make 20,000 a year

Your net worth average is: $1,475

Or, you are 65 years old and your income is 100,000 a year

your net worth average is: $ 301,000

^ pretty sad that people with 100k income don't save more. Fascinating in a way|||46%
